Dagger brings decades of experience and team-tested, paddler-proven heritage to freestyle kayaking in the Jitsu Series.
The Jitsu's unique rocker profile, hull to rail relationship through the stern, carefully distributed centralized volume, and slicey tips make three dimensional combination moves in advancing hole play easier while creating a seamless blend of speed, looseness, and release on waves. The double-step carving rail above the release edge also helps the boat to grip and drive on wave faces for very controlled carving. The Jitsu maintains snappy edge-to-edge transition yet it is arguably the loosest hull on the kayak market today.
Out-performing competitor freestyle kayaks downriver, the Jitsu is a solid all-around choice for those who want to enjoy big waves, holes on river, and freestyle competition too.
The 5.5 is perfectly sized for smaller paddlers, with enough volume to get explosive pops while at the same time allowing for unparalleled hole play.
The 5.9 is the mid-sized Jitsu, perfectly suited for a wide range of paddlers looking for excellent release off of waves, three-dimensional hole moves, and a comfortable fit

The Jed isn't like the others; it's longer than its competitors,
which allows for a more fluid distribution of volume and
comparatively slicy ends for easier trick initiation. Extra length
also makes the Jed faster on a wave and smoother on end in a hole. A
unique 'V-Chine' in the hull at the stern frees up the back end for
spins and edge transitions while surfing, and also adds to the
dynamic speed on a wave. Smooth transition of volume to the core of
the boat produces some incredible pop in a hole and the deceptively
smooth lines over all give an obscenely fast and aggressive ride on
Over the past few years Pyranha has seen some amazing displays of
freestyle talent from paddlers using the Jed, ranging from
competition wins to new and exciting combo moves, but what they are
most proud of is the doors that the Jed has opened to everyone in
Freestyle; from the Pro looking to push the boundaries of the sport
to the beginner looking to hit their first vertical ends. The Jed is
Pyranha's best and most proven freestyle design, and it's not done
The 6.0 is the largest Jitsu, great for larger paddlers looking for a high-performance playboat, or any paddler looking for more volume and room.
Meet the new playmaster of the river! It slices & dices every drop of water with a super-low volume, high-performance bow & stern. The ride of the MixMaster is from a bygone era. This new and improved design with better ergonomics, hull shape and overall package brings retro to modern! If you thought you could never squirt, flatwater cartwheel, bow or stern stall a boat before, think again. The MixMaster is the ultimate learning tool for those who just need something easier. If you have pre-existing skills, this is the ultimate mix of wave, hole, flat water & eddy line fun. Two sizes will cover most paddlers.
“Finally a modern boat that brings the fun of a bygone era of play boating back to the river. The MixMaster changes the way rivers are paddled and brings vertical moves into the realm of all paddlers, no matter what their skills. This trend is coming to a river near you!” explained Eric Jackson, Jackson Kayak President.
